South Carolina has many credits. You can access this specific one- Residential Retrofit Credit (Sch TC-43)- in the following way:

  • Access the Take a look at South Carolina credits and taxes overview page
  • click Start or Revisit next to South Carolina Other Non-refundable Credits
  • The first page is Have Any of These Credits? Click "None of the Above", as the first screen is credits titled A-D
  • hit None of the Above again until you land on Credits List: P - R.
The Residential Retrofit Credit is on this P-R page.
Note: The Form Sch TC-43 is not included with Turbo Tax. The credit flows to the SC1040TC, but the calculation of the credit is not done through Turbo Tax.

Did you receive a completed TC-43 when you got the work done?

If you already went through your SC return interview completely, you can access the credit from the "Your 2016 South Carolina taxes are ready for us to check" overview page when you go back into SC. Click edit next to Credits and Taxes.
