Where to enter previous year tax return as income

OK so I might very well be losing my mind.  When I downloaded and started on our Indiana tax files.  There was a question asking something along the lines to enter my previous year's tax return.  I skipped past it because I didn't have that information handy.

No when I go back through the various options being able to enter that as income is not shown as an option, its totally gone.  How do I get back to that field to enter it?

Thanks!

OR...it could be part of the Federal section, trying to determine if any-or-all of the Indiana tax "REFUND" becomes taxable income for 2023 Federal taxes.

That's in the ,<Federal<<Wages&Income section.   In the menu area labelled

"State and Local Tax Refunds on Form 1099-G"

(at least that's the menu item in the   Desktop software)

This sounds like it is part of the underpayment of estimated Indiana taxes interview. One of the ways to be exempted from the penalty is to compare your current taxes to the prior year's taxes.

Go back to your Indiana interview and go through it - the underpayment of estimated taxes is generally at the end of every state interview. Note that it's possible that changes in your return while you were stepping through it eliminated the need to worry about the underpayment of estimated taxes, so removed this question.

Go through your return and see if this makes sense.
