I am a part year resident of 2 states and received two W2 forms from 1 employer. 1 of them with nothing filled out but only the state wages and withholding on box 15, 16 and 17. Can I only mail this W2 form without any information about my federal wages and withholding with my state tax return? Or do I have to mail both W2 forms since the other W2 for the other state with all the boxes filled out.

Yes, you can include a W-2 that does not have any federal information with your state return. States want the W-2 that includes state wages and state withholding so they can cross-check that against your tax return if they haven't processed the W-2 sent by your employer.

Just make sure you send the right W-2 to the right state.

You can make one W2 entry in TurboTax and add the additional state information in Boxes 15-16-17.

Thanks for reply. I don't have problem for W2 forms entry in turbo tax. I just don't know if I need to mail both W2 forms to each state especially when 1 of them only shows state wages and withholding, nothing else.
