Question

Why am I waiting to file on a Kansas Schedule S form if nothing on that form applies to me?

TurboTax is preventing me from filing by saying "It looks like some of your tax forms aren't ready", but I've never filed a Kansas Schedule S before and after looking up what the form is for, I don't see anything I should need it for now.  The only information different on my return from last year and this year is that I moved about three blocks, no change in zip code or school district.

What happens when you delete the form? If it keeps returning, the program believes you need it.

A simple way to delete forms in TurboTax online is to use the Tax Tools menu option, which is on your left menu bar when you are working in your program. Then, choose Tools and then Delete a form.

If you are working in the download TurboTax program, use the Forms Mode on your menu bar to bring up the form you want to delete, then choose the Delete Form option at the bottom of the form.

Attempting to delete the form doesn't do anything.  The list of forms reappears unchanged.

You should be able to print out your return if you are ready to file it. Look on the Schedule S and see if there is an entry on it anywhere. That may help you understand what is causing it to be generated.
