Question

Why can't I enter charitable contributions on my California Tax form in Turbo Tax, but it shows up in the Franchise Tax Board's form CA 540?

No option on Turbo Tax to enter charitable contributions for California

    The charitable contributions deduction on the state return typically flows from the information entered in the federal section

     

    1. Log into your TurboTax account

    2. On the Tax Home page, click Review/Edit under Deductions and Credits

    3. If you have charitable contributions already entered, click Edit in the tax break summary section.

    4. If you haven't entered any charitable contributions yet, scroll down to Charitable Donations and click Start next to the type of donation you made.
