Why wouldn't my employer take out Federal taxes?

There a couple of possible reasons.  You may have indicated you were exempt on your W-4, or you may have claimed so many exemptions on your W-4 no withholding was required, or your employer may have made an error.  If your employer did not properly withhold tax, they may be liable for any penalties you owe, but not the actual tax - that is your responsibility.  You need to speak with your employer about what happened.

Thank you, I have checked with employer, seems like there were several people who had  huge mistakes done. I hope you are correct about them paying for the mistake.. But if they actually didn't take the taxes out, I still have to pay? I if they were taken out and there's just an error than I'm good... I hope LoL. Thank you
