Why does my federal return say to send it to California when i never lived or worked there?

If your current mailing address entered on the federal tax return is in Indiana then the federal tax return without a payment is sent to the Fresno, California Internal Revenue Service Center.

If you are mailing your federal tax return, then the IRS uses regional offices to receive the federal tax return.
What is your state?

I lived in Virginia and Ohio last year but i live in Indiana now

Several states mail 1040 returns to a CA address.
