Question

Why is a K-1 Partner form holding up my ability to file? My spouse (who used the k-1) has not taken any income from this business in a few years.

We have not filed a K-1 in a few years. And there is no issue. What has changed for this tax season?

The Schedule K-1 (Form 1065) for tax year 2023 is scheduled to be available in TurboTax on 02/14/2024

Go to this TurboTax website for forms availability - https://form-status.app.intuit.com/tax-forms-availability/formsavailability?albRedirect=true&product=Turbotax_online&bu=cg

what's going on with the partnership? if she's a partner she should be getting an annual k-1s. it does not matter that she got no distributions of income. income and loss items may need to be reported.

If it no longer exists she may be entitled to write off any unrecovered tax basis in the year it ceased operations.
