Why is Turbotax including Federal H Bond interest on my Massachusetts return?

Assuming that you’re referring to interest from Series HH Savings Bonds, that interest will be included on line 6a of Schedule B of your Massachusetts return, which can be found 2021 Massachusetts Personal Income Tax forms and instructions.

However, it’s included there as an exclusion of the federal interest income that’s been carried over to Schedule B from your federal Form 1040.

That is, it’s on the Massachusetts return so it can be subtracted from the interest carried to the Massachusetts return from your federal return.
