Once you become a resident of Michigan, all your income from that point on - regardless of its source - becomes subject to Michigan state income tax.  You become a resident of Michigan when you begin living there with the intent of making it your new domicile (your main, primary home).

Michigan follows the federal rules on home sale exclusion.  So, even if you sell your FL home after the move to MI, you will not be subject to MI income tax.
