Question

Will I receive something in the mail after I mailed in my non-resident Illinois tax return?

I worked in Illinois in 2023 but did not have an Illinois license, therefore I had to mail in my tax return. I have not received anything stating whether or not my return was accepted.

No, you won't get any kind of confirmation of receipt if you filed by mail.   Once IL has it entered into their system, you will be able to track it on their website.   You can track your IL refund with this link.   Since you mailed it, give it extra time to show up in their records.
