Went through state refund was given a325 credit. When I go to pay it says I owe 505. Will the state send me a refund sperately?

The $505 may be your federal return balance, do you owe federal taxes. If you owe federal but are due a refund from your state, then yes, the state will refund you the amount on your return.

Before you file, print or save your returns and look at your state return. Your refund or tax due amount will be at the bottom.
