Question

Will turbo tax add Acura as an EV tax credit option?

I bought a 2024 Acura ZDX all electric in 2024. The dealer used the tax credit as a rebate for me. Acura isn’t an option when reporting this on turbo tax credit. It’s the first year of their EV.

You have transferred the EV credit to your dealer in exchange for a price rebate and cannot claim it on your tax return.

Please read this IRS document for more information.

Correct. I don’t want to claim it. But I need to report it. When I go through the process on turbo tax, it says I will get a $0 credit. I completely understand and am aware of that. It still needs me to report the VIN, year, make and model. Well Acura is not on the drop down box. All other fields are filled out. For the time, I am just choosing “Honda”. Acura should be an option. Maybe IS can add it.

TurboTax has been updated and now includes Acura as an option for the EV Tax Credit.
