Wisconsin Schedule SB--Medicare Part B Premiums & Medicare Advantage Premiums

Can't I deduct Medicare Part B premiums on Schedule SB Line 6? If yes, why doesn't it flow automatically from the Federal forms?

Also, I had to pay Medicare Advantage premiums too. I cut a check to United Health Care each month for $35. I should be able to deduct these as well, correct? Why don't these flow to the Schedule SB automatically?

Thank you.

Yes. Medicare premiums should be on Schedule SB, Line 6. However, you have to input your premiums on the screen, Medical Care Insurance in the Wisconsin return.

    Please follow the instructions below:

    1. Open your state return.
    2. Continue through the screens until you reach, Medical Care Insurance. Input your Medicare insurance under the Employee or Unemployed section.
    3. Click Continue. Your premiums will flow to Schedule SB. See my screenshots below for additional guidance.
