Wont let me file. I live in SC & my husband lives in FL. It's saying that 1b(2) is more than 365 days because it shows both of our residencies. How do i fix this?

If you filed Married Filing Jointly for your federal return, you need to also file a joint resident South Carolina return.

For the South Carolina return, you will file as a resident, so you won't enter number of days you lived in the state.

If only you received income in South Carolina and your husband did not since he lived in Florida, only report your income on the South Carolina return.

According to the state of South Carolina:

“How should I file if I am a full-year South Carolina resident but my spouse is not?

If you file a joint federal return, you must file a joint SC1040 with the Schedule NR. You will report all income for the entire year to South Carolina. Your spouse will only report income earned in this state.”
