Work remote, moved from CA to UT and bought a home

I work remote, lived in California and bought a home in UT in June. However, I have not paid state taxes in UT because I pay my taxes in CA.  How do I file my state taxes and get credit for my house if I don’t pay taxes in UT?

There is no tax "credit" for buying a home.

If you paid mortgage interest and/or property taxes in 2024 on your Utah home, then enter the amounts on the federal side of your tax return.  The TurboTax program will carry them over to your state tax return(s) as appropriate.

If you literally moved from CA to UT in 2024, then you will file a part-year resident return for each of the two states.  If your primary home is still in CA and UT is a second home, then you would file a resident return in CA and you would not file a UT tax return unless you had Utah-source income.
