I am a military retiree. Oregon exempts federal pensions service prior to 1991 but will not let me enter the dates and amount. I have service both before and after that date.

How do I get around this??

How do I bring up the screen required?

It tells me to use the edit button but doesn't bring it up?

I uploaded my 1099R

What do you mean by "get around this"?  Go to the Oregon state tax section and look for the screen below.  You will be able to enter the dates to get the pension exclusion.

You may be able to subtract some or all of your taxable federal pension included in federal income. This includes benefits paid to the retiree or the beneficiary.
