Solved

I am having issues with my state tax return. I am active duty military and my Alabama total wages aren't equaling to my federal W2 wages although it was input correctly

It seems like my MISC W2 is adding up for my alabama total wages although there were no state taxes taken out. When i get the reject code it states REJECT CODE AL40-050 which the total wages from Form 40 for Alabama must equal box 16 of the federal W2. It seems like a glitch and i can not fix it myself especially since i can't access the actual filing form to make the adjustment.

Why would i do that if it is blank on my W2?

There is no such form as a "MISC W2".  Are you referring to a 1099-MISC?

Try editing Box 16 of your second W-2 so that Box 16 equals Box 1.

How do I change my W-2 info in TurboTax? (intuit.com)
