Question

I have put my W2 for the military in already, but it is wanting me to put it in a second time and it is doubling my return. How do I continue so that it doesn't happen?

It came up a second time, because you probably had an empty W-2 that transferred into 2023 from your 2022 file.

 

Go back to the Federal Wages& Income are...go down to the W-2 section....go in and delete the extra W-2.  If you've already filled out both....delete one, then Edit the remaining one again to go thru it and make sure every box is entered correctly.

 

On the page after that main form, make sure you check the box (buried in a big list) indicating that it is a military service W-2.
