Question

I’m active duty military, my residency is TN, but I’m stationed in NC. What do I put in the date blocks for nonresident/partial resident section?

My home of record is TN, and in the past I’ve always been able to choose tn. But this year I had no choice on the state section bc my w2 came from NC.

    If your resident state is Tennessee, be sure to select that in the "Personal Info" section.

    Also select "No" for living in any other state. 

     

    If you need to file a North Carolina return (to get a refund or report non-military income) be sure to select a non-resident North Carolina State return.
