Question

I’m in the mlitary and home of record is PA. Where you don’t have to pay taxes if you’re active duty military but it keeps showing up on here, how do I get it off of my return?

  1. Open your return.
  2. In search box, search for "Personal Information".
  3. Click on "Jump to Personal Information" link.
  4. Make sure you mark "Yes" to the "I am a member or former member of the U.S. Armed Forces (active, reserve or National Guard).".
  5. Make sure you mark that you live in the state of Pennsylvania.
  6. That and entering your military W-2  should tell the program that you should not be charged for taxes in PA.
