Question

I married in 2019 and my husband is in armed forces. How do I change his status from non military to military?

You can change the military status of your husband on the Personal Info screen.  Please follow these steps:

  1. Click the My Info in the black bar on the left of your screen.
  2. Click on Edit next to your husband's name.  
  3. On the Your personal info page, in question #1, click the Yes radio button next to I am a member or former member of the U.S. Armed Forces (active, reserve or National Guard).
  4. Click Continue.
  5. On the next screen, you will be able to indicate his military status as of December 31, 2019.
