There is a question at the beginning of TurboTax Online in the My Info section that asks "I am a member or former member of the US Armed Forces (active, reserve or National Guard)   Yes  No.  The question "Served in the US Armed Forces in 2023 (Active, Reserve, or National Guard)" is in TurboTax Desktop is under "Personal Info".  To access the question, Click on Edit next to the section with your Name, Social Security #, Date of Birth, etc.

ALSO....after that My info information is set.....edit the W-2 that has the military service income in it.

On one of the pages after the main W-2 form, there is one with a whole long list of checkboxes.

In the middle of it, there is one that must be checked, indicating that the W-2 represents $$ for military service.
