Im active duty military stationed in WA but my home of record is HI. Do i still owe taxes or get any exemptions since I haven't lived there for years.

Hawaii does not tax the active duty military pay of Hawaii residents who are stationed outside Hawaii on military orders.

If you have any income other than your active duty military pay, it would be taxable by Hawaii.

 

Even though you have lived outside Hawaii for years, for state tax purposes you remain a resident of Hawaii while you are in the military unless you formally change your State of Legal Residence (SLR) with your military payroll office.
