Is there a way to joint file Illinois taxes with military earned income without it being flagged?

Active Duty military with 14 years service and legal residence in Illinois. State taxes will not let me file if my income is listed in block 21.

I'm not sure what block 21 is.  But you should be able to file your Illinois income taxes with no issues if you are filing as active duty military.  Can you give us more details on the error that you are seeing?
