Why do I pay state taxes to California if I was a resident of New Mexico while I was in the military

    If you were active military in 2019 then in the My Info section of the program you should have selected New Mexico as your resident state.  Where asked if you made money in any other states you should have answered NO, if your military pay was your only income.  Where asked if you lived in any other states you should answer NO.
