Utah now excludes military retirement income from state tax.  However when filing, Turbo tax premier used the same adjusted gross for Federal as for State.  Is this correct?

On the Utah individual income tax return, you start out with federal adjusted gross income, then there is a subtraction for items not taxable in Utah. So, you would have to look at the Utah taxable income to see if your military pay is excluded.

You can view your Utah tax summary to check on this by following these steps:

While working on your return in the State section of TurboTax:

       1.  Choose the Tax Tools icon on your left menu bar

       2.  Tools

       3.  View Tax Summary
