MY HUBBY IS MILITARY AND IS IN KOREA DOES THAT CHANGE HIS STATE OF RESIDENCE

Your husband's state of residence is where his Home of Record is.

 

Generally, this is the state that he was a resident in when he was inducted. 

 

However, it is possible to change your state of residence in certain cases. But if he hasn't done anything to change his state of record, it remains the same no matter where he is stationed.

We did change his state when he left so everything should just be a simple file

it ask if he’s live anywhere other then cali in 2020 and I put yes then it got confusing I don’t want to mess up my taxes
