I am citizen living and working in the US with a dependent child.  I am married to a non resident alien.  He is in process of getting a visa.  I can file head of household but do I can't file single because he has no id number.  How do I file?

You would still answer that you are married, if you are filing as Head of Household, and your spouse did not live with your for the last 6 months of the year.  When you answer that you are married, TurboTax will ask you if any of these situations apply.  When you are married, you can never claim single for your tax returns.

File as Head of Household.  You do not enter any of your spouse's information on your tax return.
