Question

When completing form 2441 it's telling me FC for state s wrong. I am military stationed in japan and that's what the CDC gave me

Try this in TurboTax Online:

  1. Go to Tax Tools.
  2. Go to Tools.
  3. Go to Topic Search and type in "2441."
  4. Select "2441, child and dependent care expenses", and click GO.
  5. Did you pay for child or dependent care in 2019?  YES
  6. Whose care did you pay for?  Answer
  7. Then edit your care provider info.
  8. Who provided the care?  Select Tax-exempt organization, since CDC is tax-exempt
  9. Enter your information; for state, select Foreign or U.S. Possession.
