My tax refund Deposit date was July 27th, I called my bank Wells Fargo they said it was sent back to the IRS July 28. So when should I receive my refund in the mail, the irs is purposely not taking calls

@thehotceo Since your bank refused the deposit you will have to wait for a check to be mailed to you. That will take at least a few weeks.

@Pu3 Ask your state what they do when you provide incorrect banking information. We know that the bank will return a federal direct deposit to the IRS when you give incorrect information, and then the IRS issues and mails a check to the address on your tax return. It is likely that your state will do that as well---but contact the state and ask.

Please I know it’s been bout 2 years. I’ll like to know if you later got your check, and how long did it take. I’m having the same issues now. My refund was rejected by my bank and was sent back to the irs on 15/oct. but I haven’t received my check yet. I tried calling but it doesn’t help much.
