No option for refund advance when i checkout

I have been a turbo tax customer for 10 plus years. I got the advance 2 times and still use my CK account.... I was even sent an email saying get ur refund advance when u start your taxes today.. so I did and no option for the advance. Anyone else have these same issues. I'm so confused.

Just toggle back and forth between review federal and try to walk through the steps and it will give you the option. I only had to do it twice.

I was back and forth with it from the 16h up until yesterday. Went to HnR block and they wanted to charge me 400 to do something I have been doing myself for the past 6 years.
Today was he 26th I opened a new account with TurboTax and was given the advance option. Only thing, highly advise putting in a different phone number or it will get flagged for fraud (happened to me unfortunately) BUT I just have to wait for my identity to be reviewed in 48-72 hours..:It sucks I have to wait but it’s better than paying out more money than I have to. Doing my taxes this time today was a lot smoother than 2 weeks ago. Before I was getting pop ups to constantly upgrade to Max like 6-7 times and it made me pay the fees upfront without any other option and NO option for the advance.
The process today was much smoother, 2x was asked if I wanted to upgrade, able to have option to pay fees with refund and I got the advance…I was going to use my daughters phone number but I didn’t want to change too much…Should have rethought that because I wouldn’t be waiting and would probably have my advance….lol

if you make a new turbo account, make sure that your email and phone number are different than your original account…

Taxes are always a headache but hopefully this helps…Thank you to everyone that messaged back and also the girl that commented about making a new account…You are the real MVP…

That 400 charge is wild! I am glad you were able to get some answers. I got so many different answers that I am just holding out hope that in the morning it will be like it was last year, that the option pops up after acceptance even if I already filed. That's what happened to me before. So here's to crossing fingers. Stay safe and be well!

Im having the same problem and I’ve gotten it the last two years also. I was told to wait until the 27 nth . Or reset my return n start over or I may not qualify this year. Nobody really knows.

It finally worked for me last night. After filing my taxes with a diff email/account. However I was only offered a $750 refund advance. Although, my tax returns are higher this year. I just took it because I was happy to finally get the option to get at least something.

God, so I really have to go through the numbers again just to get the advance option? But doesn’t it still send it to the same credit karma account, or do you have to create a new one as well?

My best guess is if you take the earned income credit for the child tax credit, those will not be available for a refund until mid february. So with turbotax rule have your refund needing to come in 21 days, it puts too much at risk for them. It would be well over twenty one days until we get our refund.

I get both and I never had an issue…I always got the advance even with the EIC and child credit. I honestly think it was because I was made to pay and there was something happening with the site. I had no issues whatsoever the second time…

I did not receive this option and its more than annoying its false advertisement. I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. We have paid money for service just to be lied to. I just looked at a recent years return and saw on the paperwork that your credit has never been a determining factor for this loan. It was the amount of your refund advance. I pray that we don't have to wait the full 21 days for this advance. Simply not fair as bad as some of us need funds right now. This issue should either be fixed or at the very least addressed.

Filing a complaint as well. They’ve been hit before for false advertising. Crazy they haven’t learned anything.

I didn’t have the offer either and I’ve been doing it for years. My credit is better this year than last year. I’ve called credit karma and turbo tax and they said it was processing yesterday and should have the option sometime this week but that is so inconveniencing because I need it now.

Same thing happened on mine, then it appear as an option but when selected it says indo not qualify, without giving a reason. It does not even let you apply. I contacted Tuebotax multiple times and they couldn't figure it out. One time the person just said the can't help and hung up.

Same here. No option for refund advanced even though they advertised it. I have tried everything everyone suggested and nothing worked. I created a new account which was very time consuming and it still didn't show up. I tried toggling back and forth as suggested. I don't understand why some are being offered it and not everyone. It is not even giving me an option to apply for it. Turbotax needs to explain why it isn't offering this to everyone to even apply. False advertisement on their part and a headache. They need to say something so we aren't wasting our time anymore. There is no reason I wouldn't qualify either. I received it last year and had the assumption I would this year too since nothing has changed on my part. The only change is Turbotax and they have no answer.

It seems like alot of people are having this issue..turbotax needs to look into this..the same thing happened to me but I've already filed.. I assumed they may have changed the process for the refund advance. Safe to say I've used turbotax for the past 4 years I will not be using their services going forward, it seems they are not transparent I'm sure they were aware most people did not receivethe refund advance option.

So strange! So time consuming. I opened a new account as suggested and it didn't work. Was so frustrating because took over 2 hours to fill in all my information for self employed. Ugh! But today I went back and checked and suddenly the option for advanced refund appeared! No rhyme or reason just sporadic. Still not showing on my old account. Mind you it didn't show up yesterday on new account just suddenly today. I've spent so many extra days and hours on turbotax this year because of this. I don't know if it's a glitch or if turbotax is only offering it sporadically. Please be more transparent Turbotax! So aggravated. Still don't know if I am approved but at least finally was given the option to apply!
