I want to know why the IRS considers February 27th mid-month, to me mid-month would be the 14-17. Idk what kinda calendar they have there lol.

RIGHT?!?! I mean that’s end of the month even for a 30+ day month so their logic is really confusing

They keep saying Mid-February, which technically is the 14th. Then they say up to 21 days after you file. If you file the day they start accepting them, and they still make you wait until Mid- February (according to my idea of mid month), you're actually waiting (I Googled the answer,  don't judge me) is 21 days.  So here I am the 15th, and yes it's only day 22, but I need/want my money!! I don't give us a time frame if you can't stick to it.  Then don't even bother calling the IRS with questions.  You will not get an answer.  I called just to see why my 'Where's My Refund' was working perfectly,  and then just stopped.  It started to say my information was incorrect.  (Yes I did it right,  because I tried over and over- just in case there was a typo).

Moral of story= IRS sucks

Although it typically takes 21 days it sometimes can take longer. More details on why your refund may be taking longer has been provided by clicking here

I do not have an exact answer for that but I would assume the 15th being mid-February.

A link posted above states direct deposit should be available by Feb 22.

@Jason-3477 Are you referring to returns that contain the Earned Income Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit?

If so, from the IRS Refund Timing page, the IRS expects the first EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or on debit cards by the first week of March, if they chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return. Where’s My Refund? will be updated with projected deposit dates for most early EITC/ACTC refund filers by February 22. So EITC /ACTC filers will not see an update to their refund status for several days after Feb. 15.
Please see the below TurboTax FAQ for more information on the Path Act:

Because they are issued 14-17th, but are accounting for the time it takes for them to actually be delivered (I think they say 2 weeks if it’s a check by mail). So that would check out. I’m just hoping that direct deposit will still be ACTUAL mid-Feb
