Today 2/08 turbotax updated info for form 7206 but I receive a message that says my taxes cannot be efiled!  I absolutely must efile.  No way am I sending all those paper forms.  Will this be available for efiling at a later date?

Same with me. It's 8:18am 2/8/24 and i still cannot e file. Very frustrating.

"You won't be able to e-file your return" because "You have form 7206 Self-Employed Health Insurance Deduction that is not supported for electronic filing."

The form is now available in Turbotax

We know it's available. Can't efile with it though on desktop version

This has been resolved. Make sure your software has the latest update. You might also try closing TurboTax, clear your Cache and Cookies, and reopen TurboTax.

Does the TurboTax Windows application really utilize browser cache and cookies?

Hey TurboTax

I installed today’s update and form 7206 still cannot be efiled. Once again please test the release on  a Mac Book Pro M2 2022 running sonoma 14.2.1

Per Fed Ind Format 2023.15300 2/9/2024

to recreate the problem and hopefully finally fix this.

Hello all, ignore all the instructions below.  Refer to the IRS website for form 7206 or click on this link:

https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/i7206--dft.pdf

The IRS says the form is still a draft version.  You can't file a draft version of a form and that includes mailing your return as well.  We have to wait until the IRS approves the form.  The link explains this.

tventre  the link you posted has been updated.  If you check the hyperlink for latest updated forms and enter 7206, you will see the dates for both the form and instructions finalized by the IRS.

TT knows that they have a problem with the desktop version.  They seem, for some reason, to be struggling with communication surrounding this issue which is in addition to their struggles with code.  Perhaps it’s because this issue comes concurrently with the major efile fiasco they thought was fixed.
