Form 7206 cannot be efiled!

Today 2/08 turbotax updated info for form 7206 but I receive a message that says my taxes cannot be efiled! I absolutely must efile. No way am I sending all those paper forms. Will this be available for efiling at a later date?

Still having the 7206 problem after this. I'm shopping around for tax software that works

Let me know if you find one that will let you file with form 7206. I feel turbo tax should have something posted in their website they are fixing the issue. I signed up for updates and have gotten nothing.

There have been several mentions that TurboTax online is working with the 7206 form included.

I am still unable to efile due to the Form 7206 not supported for efile issue. Cookies and Cache cleared, all TurboTax updates downloaded.

The update just came through. I am no longer getting the error message and it appears TurboTax Deluxe desktop for Mac will let me efile now.

I also just got the update and successfully filed - woo hoo! What a nightmare this has been. TT should have been able to let us all know that this would be resolved today.

Successful transmission and acceptance today after downloading update. Still, I have not seen a message from TT telling us we can now Efile. Terrible communication!

Today at 10:08 CST I was able to update my desktop Home and Business tax software and successfully file my taxes electronically.

Shame on TT for the way they handled this debacle. No direct communication to those who had posted on the Community bulletin board. A couple of days ago, I did, however, receive an email asking if my issue had been resolved, but they knew it had not been resolved at that point in time.

This morning, no communication directly from their support staff stating the fix had been made.

They created CHAOS among their faithful customers, to the point that most are considering moving to another provider. It boils down to simply keeping the customer informed, which they did the poorest job possible.

It is unfortunate that large companies lose touch with their customers and take them for granted. That is not a successful business model.

Feb 16, 2024 update fixed the issue and I was able to e-file and federal and state returns have been accepted.

I was able to download the latest update this afternoon (about 9 hours ago) and complete my e-file successfully at that time.

Ironically, at 10pm this evening, I received an email from Intuit with the subject:
"We’re still working on Form 7206 not supported for Efile in Desktop"

The message read:
"Thank you for being patient while we investigate your issue. Rest assured, we're working tirelessly on a solution and will email you when we have more information. Thank you for being a TurboTax customer."

The Form 7206 is one of the forms that TurboTax desktop does not support for E-File. However, you can efile this form using the Online Program.

If you use this link and click "use this tool" at the beginning of the article, you will be able to see all the different forms that TurboTax supports for Efile and when they will be ready. Be sure to select your version at the top of tool. Note, at this time, MAC and Windows do not support efile. Your only other option on desktop would be to mail in the return. But, you can always switch over to TurboTax online and e-file.
