A few weeks ago a Turbo Tax CPA helped me with my taxes. When we finished he informed me about the tax free $10,200 for unemployment. He said wait a few days and it will be updated in the system. True to his word when I checked it was updated. I was receiving a little over $1500 for Federal and a little over $700 for state. I called into Turbo Tax to help with the remainder of my taxes. The woman on the phone helped me ,but when we finished she said I shouldn't file my state taxes until April 1st or until I received an email from Turbo Tax because I would get more money. So I agreed and filed my federal taxes only. After waiting for about a week and half I logged into Turbo Tax and now my state refund has gone down to $156. I don't understand what happened and why it went down especially if the person that I talked to on the phone said that it would go up. If I would've known this I would've filed along with my federal. Why did my state go down?

We do not schedule calls with your tax experts from this user forum. 

 

 If you are using TurboTax Live:

You can arrange for the Live help you are paying the extra fee for with your questions from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pacific time.

It wont let me clear and redo my stuff due to an issue on Turbotax side because I already paid. How to I get my money back?

You shouldn't have to clear.  Can't you go in and fix or change what you need?  You can record it manually without  starting over.  Have you filed yet?  Click on Add a State to let you back into your return.

I missed my appointment with my turbotax person today an need to reschedule it as soon as possible please.

@Annamarie30 We do not do that for you from the user forum.      You have to re-schedule it yourself.
