Turbo tax sucks this year.......don't use it

I purchase Turbo tax through Costco, downloaded the disk and everthough I paid for turbo tax premium, every return turbo tax is charging me 45$ and 25$ for each state, I didn't get my free state. I've called twice to get support but they ask me to call back to get an operator who might know what turbo tax is charging me again and again. I think turbo tax is so expensive and falsely advertising there service. I guess I'll call again friday to see if they can help me get my 45$ per return back. Signed last year of using turbo tax

2nd time they screwed me up - ended up owing $ again . And thats after I spoke to support many times - and many times they just dropped the call . learned my lesson - jeff b

Sorry to hear you have had problems a second time. Turbo Tax has worked perfectly for me for the past 20 years so I am curious what was incorrect in your return?

I have used Turbotax for ever and will never again. Every year it get harder to file online with them. Biggest problem I have had is with the return being rejected for IP numbers and then trying to put them into the tax return is a friggin night mare. I finally decided to by mail and never use this good for site again!!!!!!!!!!!

It sucks for other reasons too. We moved to a new state and it can’t figure out how to file and kept saying our filing status was not possible and would only allow us to file single which doubles our tax rate. No matter what I did it would joy work. Worst part is it charged me and then didn’t let me file. It did the same with my federal, had me enter all of my personal information including bank account then didn’t let me file and pay and only let me print them!! So now I have to send them in the mail and hope my bank account doesn’t get a surprise withdrawal from the irs along your my check. This has been my worst experience with turbo tax and I loved it before this.

Did you call for help? I moved to a new state in 2021 and used Turbo Tax to file my federal, old state and new state without a glitch. I did have to pay for the additional state but this year no additional costs and the software worked great as it has for over 25 years.

They use to be user friendly. Now they have started trying to nickel and dime people. They had problems with the state tax forms 2 years ago and I had to write to the office of the president in order to get it fixed as the customer service people couldn't help. This year we have to file in 2 states, as we moved mid year. They want to charge $60 for me to talk to a tax person when their software didn't calculate the numbers as it should. All this after charging separate for the state return and filing a fee to e-file the returns. NOPE! We used them since 2004 but they have been nothing but a headache for the past 3 years. I'm done with them!
