I’m going through the same thing , I filed on January 30 2025 , 72 hours will be today around noon. Hopefully I get an email around that time . If not I’ll be calling TT because it’s not the IRS . iRS website show there no sign of my returns at all so it’s definitely a TT issues .

I filed 1/23. Still in pending status. I also claimed an EV credit. Hoping this is the hold up. TT has been no help what so ever.

Kind of nervous because I filed Friday night and mine hasn't been accepted either. I'm never waiting more than 24 hours. I've been using TurboTax for years and I have not changed my account or any of my information. It sounds to me like TurboTax has a issue with your software not submitting the returns and they're trying to buy as much time as possible to figure out what the problem is. I haven't hit my 72 hours yet but I will at about 4:00 a.m. I'm trying to be patient and wait for the weekday to come but by Tuesday if my return isn't accepted I'm going to have to make some phone calls and figure it out. It is not acceptable for returns to be stuck in limbo for months at a time. The IRS opened on the 28th so they can't use that for an excuse either. I already checked the where's my refund website and my information is not there yet. I'm hoping the weekend slowed things up.

I filed on 1/23/25 as well thinking I would get mine faster. Still says pending. My son did he’s on the 30th and got accepted in 20 minutes. Haven’t been able to talk to a Turbo tax representative. Getting frustrated!

Yes, I am experiencing this right now as well. In addition to the IRS my two state returns have not been accepted yet either. This is very unusual. I've been filing with Turbo Tax for 10 years and the returns usually get accepted within a day or two. Either there is a problem with Turbo Tax efiling or there is a problem with the IRS. Did the Trump administration fire everyone? Even if they did, why is there a delay with the state returns. I called Turbo Tax and they told me that no one else has reported this problem. Hmmm?

Mine has been in pending status since 2/1. No EV credit. If it doesn't get accepted or rejected by the end of the week I will be filing with another company. This is ridiculous.

I'm in the same situation....filed 2/1, no EV credit, never accepted. Significant others was accepted immediately. Ridiculous.

I filed with tax act due to this issue and reps continue to lie. and i was accepted the same day then turbotax decides to want to now transmit it over and it rejected turbotax .... so you can file with tax act it won't mess up your taxes it's just going to kick out turbotax reject it

Update on my previous posts:

I filed Federal (IRS) on Wednesday, March 29, 2025 and it was accepted by the IRS on Monday, February 3, 2025. California state return was filed on Wednesday, March 29, 2025 and it was accepted on Monday, February 3, 2025. New Jersey state return was filed on Wednesday, March 29, 2025 and accepted on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Conclusion, Turbo Tax efiling is working; however it seems to be taking much longer than in past year.

crazy part is I received my state return.

this will after 9 years be my last with TurboTax this is the only company this is occurring with just a heads up even the irs site is faster which is just insane

@RH488 same here. All done with TurboTax. I re-submitted my federal returns on 1/30 through TaxACT after being held up by TurboTax for 15 days. I just received notification today 2/4 that my federal return has been fully processed and set to receive my refund within 1-4 days from TaxACTs bank. This is by far the fastest I’ve ever seen a turnaround on federal returns, I’m not sure if TaxACT had anything to do with it but I will recommend them 100x over. Resolved my nightmare with TurboTax this year big time.

The IRS generally does not reach out via email, only mail, so it could be a scam if you received an email.

Go by what is showing on Where's My Refund. It takes a few days before anything will show there. Also make sure you are entering the correct Federal refund amount and not the combined Federal and State refund. Also make sure you are entering your full federal refund amount, not the amount you would get if you had fees taken out.

You clearly didn’t read my response at all. This was a transcript I saw logging into the irs site using id.me this request could only be made by myself of the company the filed my taxes. Wasn’t me which means it was you guys. I cannot access my where is your returns at this point. You guys are trying to figure out why returns didn’t go out and you’re lying to your customers. I’ll get to the bottom of it and when I do I’ll be contacting an attorney because at this point I simply don’t believe you
