Question

Fidelity Investment import not working.

Greetings, I'm using TurboTax Premier desktop (Win10) and cannot import my data from Fidelity. I also installed TurboTax Deluxe desktop on another pc with the same problem. I contacted Fidelity and they indicated my forms are ready for importing. The Fidelity logo/window shows up but there is no place to enter my username/password. I did try another broker and the correct login window shows up with the two entries for login/password. Thank you for any assistance.

I already did a while ago. The person could not help me import using my TurboTax app on my desktop computer. They did suggest that I try the online version to import and then take that document back to my desktop. That did work. However, now, I received corrected 1099s from Fidelity and JPMorganChase and I cannot import them to the desktop. I have made many changes to my document on the desktop computer. Now, do you want me to take this back again to the online version? Why the hell did I pay for the desktop version if you want me to jump though the hoops to get around the crappy software Intuit delivered to us?

The support has no idea what is going on… they connected with second level support and the only info is that they are aware of the issue and are working on this.

Can you please follow-up internally and provide some update? Is this even being addressed? When will the update be released?

I also had talked to Intuit customer service / tech support several weeks ago. I was told that Intuit is aware of the problem. They told me to call Fidelity. I called Fidelity and the tech person instantly recognize the reason for my call and told me that he has been fielding these calls a lot and was quite angry at Intuit for bouncing their customers over to another company.

I saw an update for TurboTax desktop for Mac this morning. The update does not resolve the problem we all have been having with import 1099-B from Fidelity.

I still cannot believe Intuit treating their loyal customer  (for 30 years) this badly. Either they are stupid, arrogant or just don't care to support their software for a section of their customers.

This is very very sad indeed 😪

My import is not working. Updated to latest TurboTax version (4/6/2023). Information says data has been imported, however, nothing shows in Turbo. When I go to Fidelity site, the signin is still active.

Please help.

When I import Merrill Edge 1099 every thing works fine.  When I try Fidelity the ID and Password boxes don't appear.  Is there a glitch in Turbo Tax 2024 ?

I would look at your 1099 from Fidelity, the only 1099 active for us is a simple 1099 DIV for some long term stocks.  Everything else is supposedly available on 3/27 ( I noticed there is prelimanary data available toward your dividends but no gains or losses yet) .  As to our other account with Interactive Brokers nothing will be available as of mid March, this has been the case for both for the past 10 years.

Fidelity Brokerage information not being imported. Requested import files show up in a list with green check marks as being imported and have the correct dollar amounts. However, after clicking continue when the information is reviewed, there are no dollar amounts for interest in the review forms. No problems logging into intuit or Fidelity. The review forms in Turbo Tax have been changed this tax year (2024). I really don't want to enter them manually.
