According to the IRS site, I am NOT getting a second stimulus check!  I dont understand why!  I got one last time and I am eligible!  I was counting on that.  Is there an explanation as to why I am not getting one?  Everyone else I know did! 

Been trying since the 15th to put in my Direct Deposit info and kept getting error messages until this morning it finally worked. Some people I saw were still waiting for it several days later n I'm just wondering if anyone that had to enter their info received their Stimulus check yet?

I received an email saying that my account will be debited 86.00 but I didn't receive my taxes yet

I received a call earlier from Intuit per caller ID. The call was a recording saying there was an error with my 2020 return. No attempts to solicit information, no contact info given, no attempt to reroute or any other scam hallmarks. The recording quality was excellent. Upon logging in from a separate system I see no issue with my return. I request Intuit's help, they call me back in about 30 minutes, same caller ID as the call that spawned this quest. I give this information to the agent who says he's going to place me on hold. While on hold a recording asks if I want to increase my support tier for $121. I decline to upgrade. The recording says "goodbye" and hangs up on me. What gives? Is this an outside scam or is Intuit just trying to scam $121 out of me for nothing?

Need help with Roth IRA contribution withdrawal on 2020 tax return.I am filing a joint return with my wife. Due to my retirement on 12/2020 receiving excess sick time and vacation pay, I can no longer conn tribute  to ROTH.  The trouble is my wife and I have already contributed $7,000 each for 2020 and I had done $7000 for 2021 this year.   I just had Schwab remove all the contribution instead and waiting for the # to report.  I was told my 2021 will be reported next year.Now I am trying to revise my tax return, here is my questions on TT Question page:Traditional IRA &  ROTH IRA – Select the kind of IRAs you own or will contribute to for 2020Since we have already removed or withdrew the contributions, do you think we have to check ROTH IRA Check Box?

I received the first stimulus check based on my 2018 return. My son was a dependent on that return. Beginning 2019 he was no longer a dependent. He is now filing his 2020 return (he did file a 2019 return) and Turbo tax is asking if he received the first stimulus payment, which he did not. If he answers no it increases his refund by $1200. Is he eligible for this refund since he was a dependent on my 2018 return in which my first stimulus payment was based? If he answers yes, then there is no increase in his refund, but there is a comment that states:"Avoid IRS delays of up to 4 weeks by making sure you're reporting your exact stimulus payment amounts."Please advise proper way to handle.Thank you.

So I have been checking on my third stimulus for a while now and this is the same message I get. It is now May 11th and I am yet to receive anything. I would like to add that I recently moved out of my in laws house and changed my address on the postal service website. Also my last two stimulus checks came in through direct deposit and so did my taxes from last year and this year. What should I do? Is there anything to do? Is this a postal service mistake?This is the get my payment message:        We scheduled your payment to be mailed on March 26, 2021 to the address we have on file for you.We will mail you a letter with additional information on this payment.

I keep getting e-mails telling me you are going to take money out of my bank account for last years tax return. There is no money in the account!!! I am a a handicapped 68 year ld living on my social security and a measly pension. we need to work this out.

Where do I find my Disallowed Passive Losses_2019 Line G Operating loss?  It's showing up as QBI Passive Op Loss.

On July 15 I e-filed my federal return though Turbo Tax and attempted to e-file my Oklahoma State tax. After several failed attempts to get through your system I decided to file my state tax via USPS. Somehow my card was still charged $24.99 for the service anyway. Since I was unable to e-file my state taxes I wish to be refunded the $24.99 fee. I would appreciate your consideration on this matter.

So I read this Thread Here and I too am one of the people who got screwed out of the Stimulus payments. I KNOW I didn't check this box, and when I filed again this year, I MADE SURE TO LOOK CAREFULLY and the STUPID box is still checked. I filed for my rebate and called the IRS this Friday (5th) and they said that my return was adjusted to NOT include the credit for the stimulus because this  Spouse Can Be Claimed As A Dependent box. So - just in case any of you had hope this would be fixed nearly a year later...it is not. 😞

If I take money ($30k) out of my 401k to give to my child one time, do I have to pay capital gains tax on that money?

Hi:I completed the tax return and ready to efile.  Turbo Tax is telling me that I cannot efile due to certain tax forms but did not identify which form. Can someone please tell me which IRS form(s) must be mailed in to file?  ThanksJen

There are so many taxed terms that confused me.As I understand that ROTH IRA is where you put your after-tax contribution with future distribution taxed free and Tradition IRA or 457 IRA is where you put your pre-tax contributions and are subjected to taxes on the distributions.Then, there is the words ”non-deductible contribution”, what does that “non-deductible” applies with regard to your income?  In a W2 form, we have Wages and Medicare wages and also C, G and DD on lines 12a, 12b and 12c respectively. Isn’t what is non or deductible already taken care?  So,  is pre-tax contribution deductible?Also, Investopedia Website says:Basically, you must file Form 8606 for every year you contribute after-tax amounts (non-deductible contributions) to you Traditional IRA.Is there an IRA that you contributed with your after-tax dollars? If so, what is the advantages consider that you can simply open an investment account with your after-tax dollars and why have IRA come into play

IRS get my payment says unable to process stimulus but now turbo tax sent me email confirming theyve sent me my stimulus>>???? where is it going?? direct deposit or check??

I filed our 2020 tax return before the new March unemployment deduction of $10,200 was approved.  Our gross income was just over the $150,000 cutoff for full stimulus payment.  Now, with that $10,200 deduction from adjusted gross income it would have been $147,000 and we would have received the full payment.  Is there a way for me to recover this loss?

Hello,  I made an after-tax non-deducible traditional IRA contribution of $6000  for the tax year of 2020 after I filed my tax return. Since it is an after-tax contribution, doesn't have any affect on the taxes I paid. Do I have to file an amendment and if yes, how do I do that?
