On the Québec return, why is the amount claimed for the taxable capital gains deduction greater than the amount reported, causing a NETFILE error?   This is a known NETFILE issue when trying to file a TP1 return to Revenue Quebec for tax year 2024 through TurboTax Desktop.   When going through the review section, the amount claimed for the taxable capital gains deduction is greater than the amount of capital gains reported, or there is no eligible capital gain for this deduction. This makes the return ineligible for NETFILE Québec.    To work around this error, input $1 on line 58 of Schedule G to clear this validation   Expected date for resolution: May 8, 2025

How do i get that one missing 2023 return to come forward to 2024?

I have tried different browsers, clearing cache, etc and nothing is working.  I would really like to file my taxes.  I keep getting this error message:Error—ERR.021We cannot proceed with your request. for help.When contacting us, provide this message number. A question like this was posted under T5008 Import but the issue was not answered. This may be a bug in the import process. Manually Entering T5008 results in the correct Schedule 3 Supp reporting

Hi,how do I fill my Crypto Futures Trading in Turbotax?I already have all the Koinly reports, I just don't know where to input the Futures trading properly.The spot trading was entered as Capital Gains,the futures trading maybe in Other Income?But, the thing is, I have a loss in my future trading, and it does not let me enter a negative value.So what now?Thanks a lot!

Last year, I had a few issues:1. T5008 gets imported but need to select Capital or Invest for each entry in Turbotax2. T5008 missing transaction fee, need to manually adjust each entryI ended up with deleting imported T5008 one by one, then use my own consolidated sheet to report. This year, I'm wondering if there has been any improvements?1. Can T5008 be excluded from import from CRA?2. Can T5008 be deleted in batch (not one by one) from Turbotax after import from CRA? Any suggestions are welcome! Thank you!

I have found instructions on how to transfer amounts from eligible dependents, but since I am not my spouse's dependent, these tips don't apply. Is there a software issue that prevents a spouse transfering unusued tuition amounts to another spouse? Note I have a refund, my spouse has a balance owing, and we are filing jointly.

I have been doing my parents taxes for years.  My accountant retired and I need to start doing my family's returns; however turbo tax will not let me start any other tax returns but my parents.  How do I either a) add more returns to my account or b) upgrade my account so that I can continue to do my parents returns (and keep all their data), then add my family's tax returns?

Joint Accounts (T5) are with person, not my spouse, so 3 issues arise in Turbo Tax:-I can find nowhere no where to name or give SIN of joint holder;please reply if you found it -the box for giving % split states that it is for spouse; I can find no where to give % when it is not a spouseplease post if you found it -the T5 slips are issued only to primary holder as designated by the bank so for clarity given the flaws in Turbo Tax online, they want to upload a copy of the T5 slip I received which names us as the joint holders and a statement to clarify split %;please share information on uploading files in my computer into each of our TurboTax documents.Thanks for any help.

The T5008 and T4's are transferring. But not the T3, T5, T5013. Is the any option to me keying in each doc myself?

I have been using TurboTax for years now and this year's version is not the same and frankly, terrible. I've gone throught the app 4 times now, using both the CRA automatic info download and manually entering income info. After downloading my income info from CRA, I clicked on the part to get my spouse's downloaded from the CRA but nothing happens and the instruction next to it says to log in with my name and then log out, which I did and again nothing happened. I tried clicking it again and tried my spouse's name and I get into CRA under her ID but nothing happens. Tried the option of doing everything manually and after entering all the income info for myself, it does not give any option to manually enter my spouse's income but instead, moves on to donations and medical expenses. A this point my spouse's total income showing is just the sum from the 50% income from shared T3, T5 and T5008. I go right to the end and it never comes up with anything else about entering my spouses income

Error message comes back even I entered correctly. Is this computer bug?>The sum of box 52 and box 53 (T3) must equal the total capital gain or loss in box 21 of your T3 slip. Please review your imported data.<I entered same number made made sure 52 + 53 = 21, still error message appears. Can I leave as is, then can I NETFILE without problem?
